Wellspring Living Praises Sex Trafficking Survivors

Bringing Glory to God in the Upcoming Events

Praise and make ready to experience the kingdom of God at these upcoming events.  Wellspring Living presents the 13th annual Golf Classic, the Field Feast Supper, and the 2018 Gala, three events created to spread awareness of sex trafficking for girls and women of Atlanta.

The 13th Annual Golf Classic is scheduled for April 16th, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the St. Ives Country Club in Johns Creek, Ga. It was formed in order to support the lives of women and girls, who are on the road to recovery, from sex trafficking.

“It’s just a fun day we’ve been doing for 10 years now,” Wellspring Living Communications Coordinator, Sara Beth Dean, told Atlanta Christian Voice.

The 13th Annual Golf Classic will feature a Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin, and Putting as contents for the event. It’s a great way to support those who have found freedom in Jesus Christ from sex trafficking. A buffet, awards, and prizes will also be featured.

The Field Feast Supper, dated for June 2, 2018 at 5:30 pm is another event that praises women and girl survivors of sex trafficking. An engaging program, live auction, cocktails under the stars, and a menu featuring local chefs who have local food paired with great wine will be featured. All of these activities will take place outside.

Dean describes the Field Feast Supper as artistic and magical.

“It’s a super neat and whimsical event,” Dean told Atlanta Christian Voice. “It’s complete with people in imagery. We will host a live painter and a musical dance event.”

The theme of the Field Feast Supper depicts the peace of God that shows how the women and girl survivors of sex trafficking have overcome sex trafficking because they have found freedom in Christ Jesus from the bondage and strongholds of sex trafficking.

“The theme is kind of angelic,” Dean told Atlanta Christian Voice. “The designer came up with the theme of painting the girls with angel wings and blue skies.”

The third event, 2018 Gala, is set to take place on September 30, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Cobb Galleria. It is the largest annual fundraiser in support of Wellspring Living and its mission to transform lives for those at-risk or victimized by sexual exploitation. More than 400 attendees attended the 2017 Gala.

“It’s unique and special because we try to make stories from our events,” Dean said. “It’s a really and powerful and inspiring night. You get to enjoy the story of Wellspring Living in a bigger context.”

Dean is excited about each of these events for many reasons.

“I think we are excited about meeting new friends and telling the girls’ stories,” Dean told Atlanta Christian Voice. “The goal of each event is to tell the story of Wellspring Living and of the girls we serve. It’s exciting to welcome new supporters and to meet new supporters and to see the sparks in peoples’ eyes: even in what we see and in what we do.”
