The Eagles Are Flying High, Due To The Ties That Bind.

The Philadelphia Eagles have a 10-2 record. That makes them one of the best teams in the NFL. However, one of the things that ties this team together is their Christian faith. For the Eagles it’s not just about the wins and losses, it’s about each player’s individual relationship with Christ.

This new spiritual locker room is led by second-year quarterback Carson Wentz, who is a devout Christian. Not only is Carson Wentz having a stellar season, but he is also helping his teammates on and off the field with their spiritual walk with the Lord. This deeper spirituality has had a profound impact on the team.

Players have challenged each other to have an authentic walk with Christ.

The Eagles released a video over a month ago chronicling the effect Christianity has had on the team.

Players have challenged each other to have an authentic walk with Christ. Often the Christian walk is very private, but each player is holding the other accountable. The players are a living example of Proverbs 27:17 which says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

The Eagles are looking to cement their playoff status this afternoon against the Los Angeles Rams. The Eagles may be one of the best teams in football, however, the biggest impact they have this season may be showing the country how powerful being united by a binding force, like Christianity can be.

For the Eagles its not just about wins and losses anymore its about having an audience of one and making him proud.

Maybe what makes the Eagles so different from other teams in the league is not only their camaraderie on the field, but also having the mission of helping each other be better Christians and men in their communities and in the world.
