Tell Me Why

Speak to us, Father and allow us to see why so many people on this earth are suffering…

Why are there are so many acts of violence that cause us to have so little hope in the future? With all these natural disasters, political problems and poverty stricken countries, how can we find hope in today’s world?

Usually I get up, get ready and start my day early. It usually involves a good cup of coffee and some news. It’s really hard to avoid any news because it’s trending everywhere. On the t.v, radio and phones, news alerts are usually going off all day.

His plan was made in our best interest–specifically and individually made for us, and this world only plays its role in that plan.

From the latest Trump statement, to violence and upheaval in countries abroad. Even the daily local ongoings of each community, bad news that may turn into worry sets the tone for the day. It inspires conversations that are usually from our thoughts and worries about the latest issue our country and the world may be facing.

So it is easy to understand why most of us are so tense and stressed about the state of the world we currently live in, about the future of our children and what to expect.

It discourages me at times, but it’s important to know and understand that God has a plan. His plan was made in our best interest–specifically and individually made for us, and this world only plays its role in that plan.

A Remedy for us through God’s Word

Allow for the Lord to guide you throughout your life. The best way to this is by exploring God’s word and reading how his promises manifest throughout the Bible. The word of God gives us the strength to bear and hold on in spite of what we are going through.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  Philippians 4:13

The Bible shows examples of the way we should live in order to have a healthy and abundant life. Over and over throughout the Bible we read stories that, at times unbelievable, resonate with us in some way or another.

Lessons that are found in the Bible often teach stories of hope, love, hate, fear and envy; and ultimately show what these emotions can do when we aren’t equipped to handle them.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Going through the struggles of life holding on to our own wisdom can get quite exhausting. The reality is we all go through these emotions but we can be confident we have a source of wisdom to rely on, the holy Word of God!

We are not alone, especially when we are suffering. That is when the Lord truly manifests Himself in our life. I am here to testify that the Word of God becomes alive in your life. Everything starts to make sense when you read these stories in the Bible that are relatable in some way. You start to comprehend the reasons why you feel the way you feel. and it often leads to a paradigm shift in our perspective.
